Mrs Olofinbiyi, Oluwafunke, a Public Health nurse, is currently a lecturer at the Department of Nursing Science, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, College of Medicine, Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria. She rose to the position of Assistant Chief Nursing Officer at Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado-Ekiti before crossing over to academia. She was born at Ipetumodu, Osun State some decades ago to the family of Mr and Mrs Alade. Mrs Olofinbiyi did Diploma in Nursing and Diploma in Midwifery at Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex Ile-Ife and Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital School of Midwifery respectively. She had a Bachelor of Nursing Degree from Obafemi Awolowo University in 2015; and also holding a Diploma in Public Health Nursing from the same university. She bagged a Master’s degree in Nursing Science from the prestigious BABCOCK University, Ogun State and PhD degree in Nursing Science at Afe Babalola University College of Medicine and Health Sciences. Ado- Ekiti, Nigeria. She started her nursing career as a nursing officer 1 at Ekiti State Hospitals’ Management Board (General Hospital, Oke-Imesi, Ekiti) after which she worked at Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, Ile-Ife, from where she transferred her service to Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital. Her field of interest is Community Health Nursing with special interest in adolescent reproductive health. She has had over 30 publications in both local and international journals. She has a strong passion for collaborative research work in the fields of Nursing, Medicine and Social Sciences. She has attended workshops and programmes in adolescent reproductive health, oncology, ethics in nursing, lifesaving skills and so on. She is the Director of Nursing Services and Corporate Social Responsibility at Eden Life Specialist Hospital, Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria. She is an ordained minister and chorister in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Nigeria. She is also an active member of the Medical Unit of the Christian Social Responsibility Department (CSR) of RCCG at the Provincial and Regional levels in Ekiti State. Mrs Olofinbiyi also has a strong passion for teaching and counseling, she is also an event organizer. Her hobbies include reading, watching motivational/Christian movies and singing. She is happily married with children.
